Cultural Visa Residence Program Portugal

There are more options than you’d think for obtaining residency in another country. The most widely known visa is the Golden Visa or Investor Visa Programs. Portugal currently is closing its Golden Visa routes through purchasing real estate and investment into Portuguese funds. However, the Cultural Investment Visa remains and is the only investment visa for Portugal which allows limited physical presence.

Cultural Visa

Portugal

Portugal has many residency options available, however, the Cultural Visa allows its applicants to make investments into arts, culture and heritage in Portugal. This includes the production of films and TV series in Portugal. The investment requirement can be as low as  €200,000 with a guaranteed return of capital after five years of residence.

The Cultural Investment Visa allows for the main investor and dependants to have the opportunity to live, work and study in Portugal. After completing five years of residency, you can apply for permanent residency and citizenship. The program allows for limited physical presence which allows its applicants to live outside of Portugal but maintain residency.
